Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory tract infection caused by a newly emergent coronavirus. There are few data on the clinical presentation of COVID-19 in specific populations, such as infants and children. While clinical data available to date are based largely on the disease experience in China, Europe, and the United States, the pediatric literature on COVID-19 is still in its infancy.
